Tips on Solo Flights!

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

Well it seems any of us loves to travel but unsure of safe and comfortable travels especially during flights.

Here I am going to give you some tips regarding flight bookings to the best seat in the plane. cuppa Noodles and an aerated drink, which cost me a lot of money but later I realised, I could take my own edibles inside the domestic flight. Well eating a heavy sandwich and a larger pack of mixed fruit juice cost me the same as the in-flight ones and also much healthier too.

Let's get to the main stuff: Solo Flights.

1. Flight Bookings.

To get the best flight possible at a reasonable rate is to book it 3 months prior to the actual date of departure but I can agree on the fact that most of us including me makes the plan to travel on the spot rather than planning it all out, which gives us a disadvantage of high flight rates and most of the time not getting the seats as well but that's a different issue. Fear not, as I have tried and tested myself that the rumour going around using VPN and Incognito mode in Google actually helps.

Using VPN and Incognito mode can benefit in a way that one can get a cheaper price for the flight even at the last moments (If you are booking online) but, repeated visit to the same website can increase the rates of the flights as these airlines uses an algorithm that repeated IP address on their website can be identified and the prices gets automatically increased.

If you have a no other option, a viable one is to buy the ticket at the airport itself. and it's up to you how you can bargain.

2. Seat Allotment.

Getting the seat is another task but can be done while getting the boarding pass while checking-in. But before that you need to know which seat suits you the best and that depends how long your flight time is.

There are multiple options: Window seat, Middle seat and Aisle seat. Any of it doesn't matter if you are going First Class or Business Class, but if you are going on Economy class you need to know which is best suited for you.

Window Seat.

If you are a person who don't like to talk to much people and love your space it is the best option as it is secluded and you can dominate this space as much as you want: taking of shoes, sleeping with the advantage having to lean on to the window, having the liberty to control the light coming from the outside, and most importantly the view which you can later posts on your Instagram Feeds.

Taking window seat seams fun and it is recommended for short flights but on a long haul flights its a nightmare.

Middle Seat.

Advantages on Middle seat?None. However, and it does happen, because you got suckered, you might as well grab both arm rests. Yahoo has written an article and the people who take the middle seat are extroverts, and outgoing people like social contact. You’re highly evolved, and you’re considerate, but then they go on to say that you are low on the totem pole. The disadvantage? The armrest debate. Which one are you entitled to, and do you get one at all or both?

Aisle Seat

Having an aisle seat gives you the benefit of extra leg room, access to the bathroom without disturbing others and quick exit on landing. Which is my favourite of all three. But it also have some annoying points too like the middle and window seat passengers who need to use the bathroom, and you have to move, the trolley head smash. Yes, I have had an aisle seat, fallen asleep to be woken to a trolley bashing my head. and nothing to lean against.

These are the two issues most of the people have also i would recommend

to carry less luggage for easy travel as well.
